#whomademyclothes

“There Is no beauty in the finest cloth if it makes hunger and unhappiness”.

Let us know how #imademyclothes i.e. fashion revolution began.

On 24 April 2013, the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh collapsed. 1,138 people died and another 2,500 were injured, making it the fourth largest industrial disaster in history.

That’s when Fashion Revolution was born.

There were five garment factories in Rana Plaza all manufacturing clothes for big global brands. The victims were mostly young women. But how can we help them? What difference can we make? let us see how can we uplift this revolution

Clothes aren’t going to change the world. The warrior who wears them will.Thats YOU by fair way Bringing together the people and organisations to work towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed so that our clothing is made in a safe, clean and fairway. Believing that collaboration across the whole value chain from farmer to consumer is the only way to transform the industry.  The mission is to bring everyone together to make that happen.

NOW IT OUR TURN TO CHANGE THE CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH PEOPLE WORK.

WE SHOULD KNOW  WHO MAKES OUR CLOTHES AND UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS.

This is why, during Fashion Revolution Week, we encourage as many people as possible to ask #whomademyclothes?

It starts with you! Ask yourself: “Who made my clothes?” And then most importantly, ask the brands and retailers you buy from.

Some brands won’t answer at all. Some might tell you where your clothes were made but not who made them. Some will direct you to their Corporate Social responsibility Policy. That’s not good enough. Keep asking until you get right down to the factory where your garment was made or even the name of the person who made it.

Let us see which companies do support this fashion revolution truly. During this we came across an outstanding company.

Essence and ethos is a company that produces sustainable clothes in a wide variety. Clothes produced in this companies is not only biodegradable but also glamorous. This enterprise is not only thoughtful of nature but equally, feel the pain of their workers and employees.

Essence and Ethos don’t work for the money or wages, they work for the people, their employees and the empowerment of labours. This is the only sustainable clothing website that will truly give you the answers to your query and is a true supporter of this fashion revolution. #whomademyclothes If a brand doesn’t respond, keep asking. Our power is in persistence. The more people who keep asking #whomademyclothes, the more brands will listen.

Now it is Our Time To Work For Them Who Made Our Lives More Fashionable And Stylish. Giving Them The Rights They Deserve.
